Thomas N. Baughman
LINCOLN -- (PNS) -- Thomas N. Baughman, 67, Broadwell, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday in Broadwell. He lived with his brother, David. He was born in Logan county, Oct. 2, 1877, son of Ezra H. and Lucinda Galbreight (sic) Baughman. He never married.
Mr. Baughman followed the trade of a carpenter.
Survivors include the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Lillie Avery, Nunica, Mich.; Mrs. J. W. Broughton, Salem, Ore.; Mrs. Fred Meredith and Mrs. W. J. Welch, Tulsa, Okla.; David Baughman, Broadwell. Two brothers, Samuel and Simeon, preceded him in death.
The body was taken to Wright Funeral home where it will remain until the hour of services, which will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union cemetery.
He was buried in September 1945 in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln, Logan Co., IL, Findagrave #142562109.

ATHENS -- Alfred Walkley, 83, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in a Battle Creek hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1859, in Bailey, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Walkley. He was a retired hardware merchant and cream buyer. He had lived in this vicinity 30 years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. A. Fox of Wingham, Ont.; a son, Dr. E. O. Walkley of Battle Creek; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Athens Methodist church with the Rev. Frederick M. Thurston in charge. Burial will be in Burr Oak cemetery. The body will be at the Spencer funeral home here until noon Tuesday.
