WILMINGTON -- Services for Alfred H. Kiphart, 66, of 126 Columbus st., who died of a heart attack Thursday at 9:45 p.m. at Clinton Memorial Hospital, were to be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Port William Methodist church. Burial was to be in Jamestown cemetery. Survivors include one son, Donald W. Kiphart of Hartford City, Ind.; one brother, Lewis Kiphart of near Blanchester; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Jones of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Lucy Irvin of Los Angeles, Cal.; four grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
He was buried in July 1952 in Old Silvercreek Ceemtery, Jamestown, Greene Co., OH, Findagrave #109794094.

As of the January, 1920 Federal Census she was listed twice, once living in her parents household in Shelby County, Texas, single, no occumpation, and the second time with her husband and her brother Clarence living on Bayview-Adamsville Road in Jefferson County, Alabama. The marriage broke up sometime after the 1920 census -- Claudius A. Trammell (1891 - 1965) had remarried to an Alice by the time of the April, 1930 census. DLB 2021.
2 He died on 28 April 1948. He was buried in 1948 in Midway United Methodist Cemetery, Adamsville, Jefferson Co., AL, per Alabama death record. No such cemetery in existence as of 2020.

Leola M. Kiphart, 76, widow of Donald W. Kiphart, former resident of Hartford City, died this morning in Muncie Health Care Center where she had resided the past several months.
She was born in Jefferson County and grew up in Westland before moving to Hartford City in 1948, and more recently to Muncie. Mrs. Kiphart was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hartford City.
Surviving are three sons, Richard and Donald E. Kiphart, Muncie, and Charles A. Kiphart, Bloomington; a daughter, Dorothy M. Glessner, Santa Ana, Calif.; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Flora Addison, Rushville, Martha Wells, Charlottsville, and Florence Eberhardt, Neillsville, Wis.; and a brother, Charles Main, Greencastle.
Services will be held in Meeks Mortuary Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday or prior to services Thursday.
She was buried in 1985 in Gardens of Memory, Muncie, Delaware Co., IN, Findagrave #108241646.

She was a graduate of Manual Arts High School. She worked as a dietitian and cook.
She loved dogs and cats and liked to sew and crochet. A very good cook, she was especially known for her cheesecake, pumpkin chiffon and mincemeat pies.
She leaves her sons Frank W. Foss (Irene) of Cottonwood, Jay E. Foss (Emma) of Santa Ana, California and Kory G. Foss (Betsy) of Las Vegas, Nevada; a daughter Marilyn M. Foss-Anderson (Keith, Sr.) of Moreno Valley, California; a sister Mildred Rubsch of Bakersfield, California; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
