Janet Mooney, age 77, of Glenwood, NM, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 23, 2016 after a brief illness. Janet was a godly Christian, wife, mother, friend and nurse. Jan spent many years serving the Lord as a nurse on the Navajo Reservation and always served her community wherever she lived. Jan loved hiking, backpacking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jan was a great friend who listened well to those grieving, to those in pain, to those rejoicing, to the bubbling creek, to the singing birds and to her Savior and Lord.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Mick Mooney and oldest son, James Mooney.

Jan is survived by her son, Ben Mooney and his wife, Bekah, and their five children and is also survived by her daughter, Rebekah Sobczak and her husband, Jared, and their three children.

There will be a memorial service on May 7, 2016, in Glenwood, NM, at the Park at 11:00 a.m., followed by a meal.

She was buried in March 2016 in Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Catron Co., NM, Findagrave #161182296.
