John Carroll. She died on 1 March 1925 in Boone Co., IA, her death certificate is problematic to interpret -- the informant, her son Earl, was apparently not well-informed about her maiden name or the the names of her parents. The single names listed for her parents, which apparently were their christian names, do not produce useful search results on ancestry.com. Her maiden name was listed on her son Arthur's death certificate. Her husband, John Carroll, may have died in the 1890s, and in the 1900 census she is listed with surname Hagens, and widowed. However, a John Carroll is listed in the 1905 Iowa state census, in Perry Twp., Dallas County. It is possible that she and John Carroll were divorced, and then she married a Hagens, who died before the 1900 census. It is also possible that the John Carroll listed on the 1905 state census was a different individual than her husband -- there were multiple adult John Carrolls in that region and time. DLB 2021.
She was buried in March 1925 in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, Boone Co., IA, Findagrave #23423422.

George Curry was born about 1873 in McLean Co., IL. He died before 1880 George and Maria are known to have lost two children, but only one, Elmer, was previously identified. Since all other related Curry families appear to have been eliminated as parents of this George Curry with no headstone dates, buried in Frankeberger Cemetery, I am judgmentally placing him as the last child of George and Maria (Irwin) Curry, born after their last known surving child, Mary, born April 1871. Maria would have been about 41 at the time -- not an unusual age to have a last child. And the Currys are documented as having returned to McLean County, from Lawrence County, by the time of the 1880 census. There is also a 4-plus year gap between James and John, such that George could have been born about 1866. DLB 2021.
He was buried in Frankeberger Cemetery, Ellsworth, McLean Co., IL, Findagrave #129370134.
