Noah Kai Grabe, infant son of Jon and Danielle Grabe, of 3350 26th Ave., Marion, was born silently into this world Monday, June 16, 2003, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Rev. John Deitz and the Rev. Randy Nash. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are his parents, Jon and Danielle; two brothers, Tyler and Nicholas, who were eagerly awaiting his arrival; maternal grandparents, Melanie and Brian Abel of Cedar Rapids and Dennis and Cathy Fish of Marion; paternal grandfather, Arno Grabe of Cedar Rapids; maternal great-grandparents, Nadine Klaner of Cedar Rapids, Charles and Ann Ellis of Fairfax, Darlene Abel of Ottumwa and Ray and Cleo Fish of Waterloo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Patricia Grabe; and his maternal great-grandfather, Charles Abel.
Even though Noah was only with us for a very short time, he has already touched many lives.
A memorial fund has been established in honor of Noah.

Leslie Hope Bulken
Leslie Hope Bulken, 82, of Bridgewater, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at home.
Leslie was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 9, 1937, a daughter of the late Hope Power (Wilson) and Harry Gorgas Jopson.
Leslie received a BA from Dickenson College in Biology and English. She was a teacher at Proctor High School in Utica, NY and was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Harrisonburg. She was an avid quilter.
On June 8, 1957 she was united in marriage to Philip Henry Bulken, who preceded her in death on October 4, 2019.
Leslie is survived by son, Edward "Ned" Bulken, and girlfriend, Denise Dalton, of Bridgewater; grandsons, James Donner and Amy Phillips, Adam Donner and Heidi Miller and Patrick Donner; great grandchildren, Mary, Lilliana, Reyna, and Peyton; and sister, Harriet Mercer, and husband Richard of Massachusetts, and nephew James Mercer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sentara RMH Hospice, 2010 Health Campus Dr., Harrisonburg, VA 22801 or Alzheimer's Association, 355 Rio Road West, Suite 102, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

Philip H. Bulken, 84, of Bridgewater, VA, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019, at his home.
Philip was born in Utica, NY, on September 19, 1935, a son of the late Gladys (Daymont) and Frederick Bulken.
He retired in 1995 after 37 years of service from GE where he worked in engineering resources. He was a member of Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church in Fort Defiance, VA, and had served in the U.S. Army.
On June 8, 1957, he was united in marriage to Leslie (Jopson) Bulken, who survives.
He is preceded in death by a brother & sister in law, Frederick & Nancy Bulken.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church in Fort Defiance, VA, with Rev. Beverly A. Moore-Tasy officiating. Light refreshments will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sentara RMH Hospice, 2010 Health Campus Dr., Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater, VA, is entrusted with arrangements.
