Biography

Charles Alva Thompson was born on 9 April 1921 in Guernsey Co. (probably), OH, per SSDI and US Department of Veterans Affairs BIRLS file.1 He married Seraphina Grimaldi on 20 November 1953 in Cuyahoga Co., OH,

; Seraphina apparently had a brief first marriage, after the 1940 census, to a Pikovsky -- she was Sarah Ann Pikovsky when she married Charles Thompson in 1953. "Pikovsky" is not a common surname in Cleveland. There was a Frank Robert Pikovsky (1917 - 2000), who is listed in the Cuyahoga County marriage index with a marriage during 1942-1943. In later public records and death indexes, Frank is found to have been married to Anna Tirpik/Tirpak (1920 - 2016). Anna Tirpak is listed in the Cuyahoga County marriage index with a marriage during 1945-1947. So Anna was not the first wife of Frank Pikovsky.
