OBITUARY
KEEFAUVER - James Robert, 77, of Plantation died December 29, 1997. A resident or Broward County, since 1952. He was employed for many years with the Broward County School Board as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife Sara; his children, Dr Larry (Judi) Keefauver of Sanford, FL, Catherine (Tom) Laws of Austin, TX, Al (Tess) Keefauver of Aurora, CO; sister, Algerine Range of Johnson City, TN; 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Thursday 6-8 PM at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Friday, lO AM at Parkway Christian Church, 1200 S. Flamingo Rd. Davie. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn South Cemetery. For those who desire the family suggests donations to the Elders fund at Parkway Christian Church in his memory. Arrangements by T.M. ALGERINE "SIS" KEEFAUVER RANGE
Algerine "Sis" Keefauver Range, 90, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Dewey and Irene Saylor Keefauver. Mrs. Range was a homemaker and member of the Boones Creek Christian Church but she attended the Harrison Christian Church.
Her husband, Jim M. Range Jr., in 1990, and a brother, James Robert Keefauver, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn (Jim) Sell, of Johnson City, Joyce (Curtis) Larimer, of Jonesborough; four grandchildren, Jim (Kim) Sell, Joe Sell, Becky Sell and Leigh Ann Larimer; two great granddaughters, Katie and Emily Sell.
A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, July 16, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Mr. Palma Bennett, Mr. Paul Helphinstine and Mr. Gary Perkins.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
A committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park.

Madeline Keefauver Overbay
GRAY--Mrs. Madeline Keefauver Overbay, age 94, Gray, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of the Boones Creek Community. She was a graduate of Boones Creek High School and a member of the Boones Creek Christian Church.
Mrs. Overbay was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Ruth Keefauver; and her husband, Donald Overbay Sr., who passed away in 1991; son, Anthony Overbay, who died at birth; and grandson, Tim Overbay.
Mrs. Overbay was a homemaker, a retired farmer and a caregiver for many of her family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Donnie Overbay, Leon Overbay and wife, Pam, and Lynn Overbay and wife, Peggy; grandchildren, Kevin, Keith and Tony; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Allison, Alexa, McKinley, Sydney and Jake; One sister, Evelyn McCall; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Serves for Mrs. Overbay will be Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 7:00 PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister David Clark officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5- 7:00 PM prior to the service.
Graveside will be Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Highland Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

He was a Sullivan County native, but had lived in Washington County for over 50 years. Mr. Overbay was a son of the late Edward Lee and Lula Hite Overbay.
He was a member of Boones Creek Church of Christ.
Mr. Overbay was a World War II Army veteran, and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received during the Normandy invasion.
He retired from Tennessee Eastman Co., Kingsport, after 44 years of service.
Mr. Overbay was a member of the Pine Oaks Golf Club.

Funeral services for Donald G. Overbay Sr., 71, 212 Highland Church Rd., Gray, will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday from the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel. The officiating minister will be Charles Reece. Pallbearers will be Charles G. Dyer, Ernest Cox, Herman Cox, Gene Carrier, Carl Snipes, J. R. Vess, Jack Hobbs and Jim Saylor. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Men’s Class of Boones Creek Church of Christ and members of Pine Oaks Golf Club. Pvt. D. G. Overbay Wounded In France
Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Overbay, Johnson City Highway have recently received word that their son, Pvt. Donald G. Overbay, was wounded in action in France, July 15.
Pvt. Overbay, who is now recuperating in a base hospital somewhere in England, has been awarded the Purple Heart.
He was employed at Tennessee Eastman before entering service in November, 1943. He received his basic training at Camp Walters, Texas, and went overseas May 14.
His wife, the former Miss Madeline Keefauver, makes her home with her parents at Boone's Creek.

BILLY J. McCALL
Billy J. McCall, 77, 817 Lincoln Ave., died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a lifelong Johnson City resident and a son of the late Ray C. and Bertha L. Fleenor McCall.
Mr. McCall was a retired plumber and pipefitter.
He was a World War II Army veteran, having served as a staff sergeant in G Company, 175th Infantry Regiment.
Mr. McCall was a member of Clark Street Baptist Church.
He was a member of Local No. 538 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and Kings Mountain American Legion Post No. 24.
Mr. McCall was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert McCall and Ray McCall.

Timothy L. Overbay
Timothy Lynn Overbay, 24, 2nd Class Petty Officer, U.S. Navy, serving on the submarine USS Lapon, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1991, in Vallejo, Calif.
He was born Jan. 16, 1967, in Johnson City to R. Lynn and Peggy V. Overbay. He graduated from Alta High School in 1985; attended Utah State University 1986-87; while serving in the Navy attended Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Fla., and received his qualifications from the Nuclear Power Training Facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He loved being in the outdoors and serving in the Navy.
Survivors include his parents, of Sandy; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Wendy Overbay, Midvale, Utah; paternal grandmother, Madeline Overbay, Gray; maternal grandparents, Bill and Lucy Veach, Johnson City; aunts and uncles, Carolyn V. and Bill Duncan, Johnson City, Leon and Pam Overbay and Donnie Overbay, all of Gray, and Bill and Sue Veach, Friendswood, Texas; and seven first cousins in Tennessee and Texas.
Military graveside honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 1992, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East St., Sandy, Utah. Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary.
