David W. Clippinger, age 57, of Fredericktown, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was born on January 1, 1964, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Walter and Janet (Berger) Clippinger.

Dave graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1982. Upon graduation Dave joined the United States Army and served his country proudly. Dave worked for the City of Mount Vernon as an equipment operator. He loved deer hunting and his family trips to Pennsylvania four-wheeling. His greatest joy was being around his loving family.

Dave is survived by his wife, Diane (Doup) Clippinger; daughters, Allie (Clayton) Frost, Gracie (Trace Hatfield) Clippinger; grandchild, Sutton Frost; mother, Janet Clippinger; sisters, Debbie (Chuck) Farson, Diane (Kihm Pinson) Clark, Cathy (Louie) Frazee; several nieces, nephews, aunt and uncles.

Dave is preceded in death by his father.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 4-7 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home; 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. A private burial will take place at a later date.

On November 26, 2022 Carole Kay Newcomb Clippinger was called home by the Creator. She was born on October 12, 1940.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James G. Clippinger. Her children, son, Jeff G. Clippinger (Heather), daugjter, Wendy Anne Clippinger, and son, Kim M. Clippinger (Barbara). Grandsons, Josh Londergan (Jennifer), Stephen Clippinger, Devon Clippinger, Josh (Jessie) Wallace, and Jessica (Josh) Goodman. Plus, several great-grandsons, daughters, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Emily (Tvaroha) Newcomb and a sister and two brothers.

She retired as a bookkeeper from the law firm of Charles Frayne to raise her family. In her spare time for a number of years was Clerk for the Village of Tremont City. She loved to read and sew in her spare time and was proud of her Native Heritage. Carole was a loving wife and mother supporting her husband and children in all their endeavors. She was a 60 year active member of Norris Chapter now Home City Chapter Order of Eastern Star serving as Star Points and several times as Worthy Matron with her husband, James and son, Jeff. Carole loved supporting her children and youth, she was Chapter Mom for Frank W Kiefer Chapter DeMolay. Supported numerous BSA activities such as Explorer Post/Venture Crew 6, Camp Birch Staff, and Order of the Arrow.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. with Eastern Star services starting at 7:30 p.m. A celebration of Carole's life will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Kelley Rogers officiating. Private services will be held at the Rose Hill Mausoleum for the family with entombment to follow.
