Wilma Hull, age 92, formerly of Mount Vernon passed away at the Greenwood Meadows Nursing Home in Greenwood, Indiana on Wednesday, October 21, 2015.
She was born on April 11, 1923 in Knox County, Ohio to the late Basil and Mabel (Hunter) Clippinger. Wilma helped open and was employed at Walmart here in Mount Vernon for over 18 years. She attended the Brandon United Methodist Church and was a Girl Scout leader in Utica for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Niswender of Alabama; six grandchildren, Tom, Chris and Neal Niswender, Robert, Brian and Greg Hull; one great grandchild; one great-great grandchild; and her sister Audrey Bostwick of Mount Vernon.
Besides her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Malcolm Hull; her sister Donna Clippinger; and two brothers, William and Walter Clippinger.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held on Thursday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11AM with Rev. Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Brandon Cemetery.
The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Wilma Hull.

James R. Niswender, age 75 of Concord, passed away on June 28, 2023 at his home as a Saved Believer who accepted Jesus Christ as his loving savior. He was born on June 17, 1948 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Ralph and Harriet (nee: Rickel) Niswender. Jim was a retired Air Force officer where he was an in-flight refueler and was honored to refuel Air Force One during the George W. Bush administration. Later he worked as a HVAC serviceman for Sears. Jim enjoyed wintering in Punta Gorda, FL with his wife where they were members of the Moose Lodge. He loved boating.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Patricia (nee: Chinchar) Niswender; sons, Neal (Chelsea), Chris (Kathy), and Tom; step-son, Ken (Michelle) Vendley; grandchildren, Mckenna, Sidney, and Hunter Grace; step-grandchildren, Chase and Rachel; sister, Cheryl (Dennis) Brewer; nephews, Brian and Dennis; and great nephew, Christopher.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 10:00AM until the funeral service at noon at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077 with interment to follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland, Ohio.

A funeral service for Henry C. Bostwick, 74, of Utica will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brandon Cemetery.
Mr. Bostwick, who spent his lifetime in Knox County, died Jan. 15, 2001, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born April 2, 1926, in Mount Vernon, to the late Warner and Bertha (Tablet)(sic) Bostwick.
Mr. Bostwick served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Heath in 1982 after 30 years of employment. He was a member of the Utica United Methodist Church and was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his wife, daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Audrey (Clippinger) Bostwick; daughters and son-in-law, Shirley Bostwick of Columbus and Annette (Steven) Shroyer of Heath; granddaughter, Jennifer Shroyer; brother, William (Sue) Bostwick of Mount Vernon; and sisters Catherine (Robert) Dial of Fredericktown, Lucy Cline of Mount Vernon and Margaret Sorrick of Galion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his brothers, James Bostwick and John Belton; and several step-sisters.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Mount Vernon.
