JOSHUA DAVIS
Joshua Davis, 83, died Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the residence, 1806 Gondert av.
He was born in Blue Ball, Butler co., O., Oct. 15, 1849, moving to Dayton with his parents when he was three years old and spending his early life here. He was married to Justina A. Engle May 15, 1871, to which union ten children were born, four of whom preceded him in death. Following his marriage he moved to a farm north of Bellbrook, where he lived up to 16 years ago when he returned to Dayton.
Surviving him are his widow and six children, Mr. Laura Adams, John, Mark, Grover, William and Perry Davis; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of Dayton.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
He was buried in August 1933 in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek, Greene Co., OH, Findagrave #22429062.
Occupation: Farm laborer.

Services for Mrs. Laura Ellen Adams, 68, of R.R. 8, Dayton, who died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Good Samaritan hospital following a short illness, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Lucille Lloyd, R.R. 8, Dayton, on the Xenia pk., Knollwood addition, and at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Zion church, the Rev. Harold F. Hess, officiating. Friends may call at the daughter's home from 2 p.m. Friday until time of services.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the West Side Church of Christ.
