Services for Mrs. Patricia E. Hopping, 35, chairman of the Red Cross Gray Ladies from 1955 through 1957 and co-owner of the Colonial Inn, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meyer & Boehmer Funeral home, 1733 Brown St., from 4 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
Mrs. Hopping, of 437 Hadley Ave., died of pulmonary emphysema at 9:30 a.m. yesterday in Miami Valley hospital. She had been a patient there since May 23.
Active eight years in Red Cross work for the Dayton Area chapter, she also had been vice chairman in the administrative department office of volunteers in 1958-59-60.
A life resident of Dayton, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church, Dayton Woman’s club, Dayton Philharmonic Women’s association and Miami Valley Golf club.
Surviving are her husband, Wade; her father, Leonard Loyd of Montreal, Canada; her mother, Mrs. Lucille Loyd of Dayton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Donald Scurlock of Dayton; a stepson, Wade Lee Hopping of Tallahassee, Fla., and two half-brothers.
She was buried in July 1964 in Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery, Beavercreek, Greene Co., OH, Findagrave #177553891.
