Peter Swendsen, 81, West Allis, formerly of the town of Easton, died yesterday morning at 5:30 o'clock at Mt. Sinai hospital in Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held in West Allis tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial at Arlington cemetery, Milwaukee.

MINONK (PNS)—Arthur Zivney, 81, of 128 Locust St. died at 1:05 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, the Rev. Roland Jedlick officiating. Burial will be in Minonk Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Folkers Memorial Home, and from an hour before the service at the church Thursday.
He was born April 9, 1897, at Milladore, Wis., a son of Joseph and Emma Krivanik Zivney. He married Esther Swendsen, who died in May 1973. He married Clara Knoll July 17, 1974, at Minonk. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Marjorie Durre, Minonk; two sons, Ray, Minonk, and Shirley E., Chenoa; three brothers, Charles, of California; Fred, Alma, and Frank, Fort Atkinson, Wis.; a sister, Agnes Patten, Fort Atkinson, Wis.; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Masons at Minonk, the Bloomington Consistory, and the Mohammed Shrine Temple of Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Lida Home, Minonk.

Emily Ruth Zivney, 85, Sun City, Arizona, formerly of Minonk, passed away at 9:26 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 13, 2011) at Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City.
She was born Oct 24, 1925, in Minonk, to Walter and Eva Nauman Danekas. She married Ray Zivney on Nov. 17, 1948, in Minonk.
She was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church in Sun City and was associated with Minonk United Methodist Church for most of her adult life. She was also a member of Stephen Ministries.
Emily and her husband loved to travel and wintered in Sun City for years. She loved sewing, ceramics, card making and playing cards. She was an artist and won several awards for her paintings. But above all, she loved her Lord, her husband and her family.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, who meant so much to her.
