Samuel Larimore was born on 20 November 1815 in Three Churches, Hampshire Co., VA (now WV), or 1816, per 1900 census.¹ He married Julia P. Taylor on 13 July 1836 in Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL. He and Julia P. Taylor were divorced before June 1870. He married Margaret Faulkner. He died after 26 June 1900 in Cherokee Co. (probably), KS.²

Samuel Larimore lived on 24 August 1860 in Wayne Twp., Buchanan Co., MO.³

Note: Samuel disappeared sometime in the 1870s. After his second wife Margaret Faulkner died, in order to settle the estate his children had him declared dead. A Tazewell County, Illinois death certificate dated 3 February 1879 exists. However, he was living -- he is found living with his son Timothy in Ross Twp., Cherokee County, Kansas in the 1900 census. He apparently died between that date and the 1905 Kansas census. DLB 2020.

Thomas Larimore was born on 14 March 1828 in Three Churches, Hampshire Co., VA (now WV.)¹ He married Lucy Ellen Welch, daughter of Hugh L. Welch and Lucy Collins, on 6 September 1855 in Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL. Thomas Larimore married Eliza Jane Reed, daughter of Jacob Reed and Mary Aikens, on 9 July 1857 in Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL, or 1859, per "Portrait and Biographical Record of Tazewell and Mason Counties" (1894), page 670. Thomas Larimore died on 16 April 1906 in Elm Grove Twp., Tazewell Co., IL.

He was buried in April 1906 in Woodrow Cemetery, Cincinnati Twp., Tazewell Co., IL, Findagrave #76254735.

Biography

Asenath Munden was born about 1820 in Indiana

. On the 1830 census, there were three "Munden" heads of household llisted in Indiana; Levi in Morgan County, Joseph in Henry County, William in Wayne County, also Henry "Mundan" in Washington County and a Levi "Mandin" in Washington County. Joseph, Henry, and William can be excluded as there were no girls in a plausible age range in those households. Levi Munden in Morgan County had a young girl in the 5 - 9 age range, and Levi "Mandin" in Washington County had a girl in the 10 - 14 age range. Neither of these Levis appear in the 1840 censuses of Indiana or Illinois. Two "Mundon" men who, according to other public genealogies were Jesse (1779) and his son Frederick (1820) Munden were in Knox County, Illinois as of the 1840 census.

The name "Asenath" in several spelling variations appears in multiple generations of the Munden clan of Pasquotank County, North Carolina, various of which migrated to Indiana and Illinois in the early 19th century, which is documented in part in the Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, Vol. I-VI, 1607-1943 as well as Quaker Meeting Records, 1681-1935, both online at ancestry.com. The Asenath Munden who married John Larimore in Tazewell County was probably the daughter of Jesse Munden (1779-1850) who lived in nearby Knox County, Illinois as of the 1840 census. She was born 1 FEB 1818 according to the Quaker records, but they apparently have no further information about her. DLB 2018.^1,2

She married John Larimore, son of William Larimore, Sr., and Nancy McMann, on 28 April 1837 in Tazewell Co., IL, Ceremony by J.H. Morrison, Esq., JP. Asenath Munden married William D. Trial on 17 January 1865 in Tazewell Co., IL. She died in 1890 in Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL.

Julia P. Taylor was born in 1823 in Kentucky.¹ She married Samuel Larimore, son of William Larimore, Sr., and Nancy McMann, on 13 July 1836 in Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL. Julia P. Taylor and Samuel Larimore were divorced before June 1870. She died after 10 June 1870 Julia was living wiith her daughter Elizabeth in her son James Larimore's household in McDonough County, near Industry, Illinois as of the 1870 census. No further evidence found of Julia or Elizabeth.

Julia P. Taylor lived on 10 June 1870 in Eldorado Twp., McDonough Co., IL.²
