Online genealogies show dates of 1847 (clearly wrong) and 1853 (possibly correct).

She was buried after 1850 in Salt Creek Cemetery, Smith Mill, Muskingum Co., OH, Findagrave #32888094. Headstone broken and most of the inscription is not legible.

Family anecdote (Findagrave.com):

Peter had finished the cabin in Blue Rock but for the doors and went back to Salt Creek Twp. for his family. He took one load of belongings and the family and moved them to the new cabin. When he went back for the rest of the furniture and tools, Rebecca remained in the new home. It was a long drive both ways and Rebecca had problems without the door. The bears and wolves prowled around all night but didn't come in because of the fire. Myrtle was told by her mother that it was a common occurance to go to the spring for water and meet and old bear and a couple of cubs. She said the winters at that time were rather mild and they wore sunbonnets the year around. Peter also helped build a school near Keiffer. About a mile and a half from his farm.
