Ethel M. Johnston

Memorial service for Ethel M. Johnston, Portland, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waverly Heights Congregational Church, with private interment at Portland Memorial Mausoleum.

Mrs. Johnston, 82, died Friday in a local hospital.

A native of Canyonville, Mrs. Johnston had lived in Portland since 1923. She was a retired Portland-area schoolteacher.

She is survived by a son, Jack F. Johnston, Portland; brother, Elmer Hughes, Portland, and two grandchildren.

The family suggests remembrances be contributions to Waverly Heights Congregational Church.
