The Warren County native was a retired postmaster at Rockfield, a long-time mail carrier in Bowling Green and a member of Bowling Green American Legion. He was a son of the late Guey G. Massey and Bessie Mae Gott Massey. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin, Wayne and Dean Massey.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Franklin Massey; three daughters, Dianna Young and her husband, Alan, Gayle Caudill and her husband, Roger, and Becky Boyd and her husband, David, all of Rockfield; grandchildren, Brian and Tyler Young and Stephanie and Davey Boyd; stepgrandchildren, Micah and Michelle Caudill; a great-stepgrandchild, Russ Caudill; and several nieces and nephews.
He was buried in March 2004 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY, Findagrave #30454942.

Obituary:
Joyce Fay Franklin Massey, 85, of Rockfield, passed away peacefully Friday, April 27, 2018 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary Iva (Wimpee) Franklin. And the wife of the late Troyce Massey.
After a long career at Bell South Telephone Company, she enjoyed retirement shopping, bowling and spending time w)th family. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Troyce Massey, two sisters; Lucille Green and Barbara Ann Johnson.
She is survived by three daughters; Dianna Young (Alan), Gayle Caudill (Roger) and Becky Boyd (David), four grandchildren; Brian Young (Monica), Stephanie Boyd, Davey Boyd and Tyler Young (Megan), two step grandchildren; Micah Caudill & Michelle Marklin, three great grandchildren; Blaine, Maia & Troyce, a sister, Louise Jones (Mac) and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 30, 2018 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel will be Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
She was buried on 30 April 2018 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY, Findagrave #189261110.
