POLO -- Ralph M. Stuff, 83, 703 E. Webster St., died Saturday in Rockford Memorial Hospital.
He farmed in Pine Creek Township until 1978. He was a member of board of directors of Buffalo Insurance Co., and served 20 years on Ogle County Zoning Board of Appeals.
Memorial service will be at 1:30 p,m, Saturday in St. Mark Lutheran Church. A complete obituary appears on this page.
STUFF-- Ralph M. Stuff, 83, 103 E. Weber St., Polo, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1986, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 18, 1902 in Pine Creek Township, son of Jeremiah and Ida Pyfer Stuff. Married to the former Marjorie Cashman in Polo Oct. 2, 1924. Farmed on the family homestead in Pine Creek Township until 1978. Member of board of directors of Buffalo Insurance Co. and served as president several terms. Served 20 years on Ogle County Zoning Board of Appeals and was chairman several years. Member of Polo Lions Club, Ogle County Cattle Feeder's Association, St. Mark Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; a daughter, Dr. Patricia Stuff, Bonduel, Wis.; three grandchildren, Wesley Grover, Bloomington, Ind., Thea Grover, Washington, D. C., Sara Grover, Raleigh, N. Polo, Aug. 15 -- George A. Miller, 67, passed away at his home here at 3 P.M. Sunday after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held at the Church of teh Brethren here at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, the Rev. H. Jesse Baker, pastor, officiating, with burial in Fairmount.
Mr. Miller was born in Ohio, Jan. 4, 1871, the son of John and Nancy Miller and came to Polo in his young manhood, this community since having been his home. He was married in 1895 to Eleanor Stuff, who preceded him in death four years ago.
His survivors are: a son Fred J. of Polo; two grandchildren, George and Barbara Miller; a sister, Mrs. Alice Phillips of Goshen, Ind.; and two brothers, Harvey of Goshen and William of Elkhart, Ind.
He was buried in August 1938 in Pine Creek Brethren Cemetery, Polo, Ogle Co., IL, Findagrave #60006969.
