Biography

Ezekiel Haney was born between 1817 and 1818 in Sumner Co. (probably), TN, May have been the brother of William Haney, born abt. 1804 in South Carolina, who appears in the 1850 census near Ezekiel (Jefferson Co., p.346B) (DLB 2005.)1 He married Susannah Cochran on 6 July 1843 in Jefferson Co., IL. He married Catherine Constable on 26 September 1871 in Jefferson Co., IL. He died on 10 February 1876 in Jefferson Co., IL.

Mary Martha Clay, 93, Port Gibson, Miss., formerly of Lexington, former homemaker, widow of Robert Pepper Clay, died Wednesday. Services 2 p.m. Monday, Lexington Cemetery. Arrangements, W.R. Milward Mortuary - Broadway.

MARY MARTHA CLAY (homemaker) PORT GIBSON -- Mary Martha Clay, 93, a homemaker, died of heart failure Wednesday at home. Services at 11 am Saturday at St. James Episcopal Church with a 2 pm burial in Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY. Glenwood Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mrs. Clay was a Paris, IL, native and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, MS. She had lived in Port Gibson since 1990. Survivors include: daughters, Susan Disharoon of Port Gibson and Lucy Boyajian of Casa Grande, AZ; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
