Allen Walter Davis, 75, of 303 Magnolia Street, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, S.C. he was first married to the late Virginia W. Davis and is the husband of Carrie Campbell Davis and the son of the late Anderson W. Davis and Margaret Peeler Davis Hatfield.

He was a graduate of Cedar Springs School, was a Plumber for 35 years, enjoyed fishing and CB radio. He loved his family and friends and never met a stranger. Mr. Davis was member of Pacolet Road Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, also surviving are two sons, Scott Davis and wife, Diane, James (Jimmy) Davis and wife, Summer, both of Gaffney; a step-son, Jay Allison of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Michelle Matthews, Elizabeth Davis (Justin McLellan), Anderson Davis and wife, Bobbi Jo, Clint Davis, Vada Davis and James Allison and wife, Kurstie; nine great-grandchildren, Davis, Madison, Michael Ray, Aribella, Scott, Gabriel, Jade, Kyla and Grayson; an uncle, Dean Davis of Spartanburg; and an Aunt, Emaree Peeler of Gaffney.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a grandson, Alan Michael Davis.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Pacolet Road Baptist Church. Memorial services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church with Reverend Mickey Mullinax and Reverend Jimmy Powell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Pacolet Road Baptist Church, 1104 Pacolet Road, Gaffney, S.C., 29340.
