Burial services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Davis and Byers funeral home, East Sandusky street, Mechanicsburg, for Miss Addie Kirk, who died Friday at 10:30 p.m. at fhe Champaign County Hospital. Miss Kirk was a former resident of Mechanicsburg and had been a patient in the hospital many months. She was 96 years of age and was a member of one of the pioneer and wealthy families of Fayette county.
The services were conducted by Rev. Paul I. Wachs, pastor of Trinity Church, Mechanicsburg. Interment was in Washington C. H. Cemetery.
She was buried in May 1941 in Washington Cemetery, Washington Court House, Fayette Co., OH, Findagrave #28921822.

The Civil War Veteran Formerly
Lived in Independence.
Madison S. Kirk, who was 100 years old July 15, died yesterday at the National Soldiers’ Home, Leavenworth. Mr. Kirk, who fought in the Civil War with a company of Ohio volunteers, settled on a farm three, miles east of Independence in 1836, and lived there and in Independence before going to Leavenworth in 1919.
He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Booth, 128 East Ruby street, Independence, and Mrs. Minnie Colver, Chicago; two sisters, Miss Adeline Kirk, Mechanicsburg, O., who is 91 years old, and Mrs. Charity Sellers, 9 years old, Springfield, O., and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday at the soldiers’ home. Burial will be in the cemetery there.
She was buried in 1932 in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, Jackson Co., MO, Findagrave #15843483.
