Burial in Crown Hill cemetery will follow services for Milton Purdy Lent, age seventy-seven, a traveling representative of chemical firms more than twenty-five years, who died at his home, 4240 Cornelius avenue. Rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary, the Rev. Virgil D. Ragan, pastor of the Fairview Presbyterian church officiating.

A native of Dresden, Ontario, Mr. Lent studied pharmacy as an apprentice there and later was graduated from the Ontario College of Pharmacy in Toronto. He opened his own business in Toronto but later sold his store to become a representative of a Cleveland firm and later for a New York company. He was a member of the Masonic order and the Fairview church.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Lent and four sisters, Mrs. Cora Cornwall, Morpeth, Ontario; Mrs. D. Gundrum, Toledo; Mrs. John D. Hull, Revere, Mass., and Mrs. Wallace Gilbert, Powell River, British Columbia.

He was buried in 1941 in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN, Findagrave #45959199.

Thomas Patterson

Funeral services for Thomas J. Patterson, 67, Santa Maria, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Magner Funeral Home with the Rev. John Wilson, Clark Ave. Southern Baptist Church, officiating.

Cremation will follow in the Chapel of the Roses, Atascadero.

Mr. Patterson died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Priscilla Furrow, 3094 Courtney Drive, Santa Maria. He was born Aug. 21, 1898 in Indiana and moved to this area three years ago.

Besides his daughter, Mr. Patterson is survived by two sons, Gary Patterson of Castle Air Force Base and Thomas Cook of Kirland (sic), Wash.; two other daughters, Mrs. Patricia Van Hee of Corbutt, Ore., and Mrs. Phyllis Hansen of Spokane, Wash., and 13 grandchildren.

Sarah Masters was born about May 1824 in Ohio from headstone legend "30y 2m."1 She married John Linder on 9 November 1843 in Guernsey Co., OH. She died on 27 July 1854. She was buried in July 1854 in Plainfield Cemetery, Lloydsville, Belmont Co., OH, Findagrave #205719956.
