Alexander Pence was born about 1825 in Ohio.¹ He married Louisa Maria Steinberger, daughter of David Steinberger and Elizabeth "Lydia" Pence, on 3 March 1842 in Champaign Co., OH. Alexander Pence and Louisa Maria Steinberger were divorced on 28 October 1863 in Champaign Co., OH. He married Sarah Ann Sifers, daughter of Jacob Sifers and Nancy A. Romick, on 4 February 1864 in Champaign Co., OH.¹ Alexander Pence died before 5 June 1880 in Urbana, Champaign Co., OH, Gone in 1880 census.²
