Calvin R. Jenkins, 54, of New Carlisle, Ohio and formerly of Troy, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY.
He was born in Springfield, Ohio on November 10, 1951 to the late Richard E. and Mary Margaret (Wagner) Jenkins. His mother survives and resides in Springfield. Calvin married Lou Ann Musser on April 15, 1974 and she survives.
Other survivors include his 3 daughters, Kimberly D. Mumpower and friend Cynthia Wood of Troy, Traci Jenkins and fiancé David Downey of Troy, Nicole Boggs of Troy; 6 grandchildren, Taylor and Elijah Mumpower, Devin and Jauntae Blakely, Marcus Downey, James C. "JC" Boggs; 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Cleta Chance of Springfield, Jerry R. and Pearl Jenkins of Springfield, Gary and Deby Jenkins of Springfield, Tim and Linda Jenkins of Springfield, Jonathan Jenkins of New Haven, CT; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Jenny and Kenny Holycross of Medway, Cathy Bumpus Jenkins and friend Bill Jackson of Springfield; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Calvin was a member of Tipp City Church of Christ.
He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1969 and attended Urbana University. Calvin was formerly employed with Metropolitan Housing in Troy. Previously he was employed with A.O. Smith, Tipp City, North Ridge Heating, Springfield, Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield.
There will be a funeral held on Monday, November 6, 2006, 11:00 A.M. at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Minister Robert Vincent officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 5, 2006, from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
