NAPOLEON BONAPART WAGNER

Napoleon Bonapart Wagner, 72, of 3940 Hominy Ridge rd., died at 5 a.m. Thursday in Mercy Hospital following one week of failing health.

He was born Nov. 5, 1896, in Springfield, the son of Andrew Jackson and Lucinda Baker Wagner and had lived here all of his life. Mr. Wagner retired as foreman of Ferncliff Cemetery in 1963 after 46 years of service. He attended the Church of God in Lawrenceville.

Survivors include his wife, Florence G.; four daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Erma) Cydrus, Mrs. John L. (Annetta) Jenkins, Mrs. Richard (Mary Margaret) Jenkins and Mrs. Everett (Ruth) Circle, all of Springfield; four sons, Horace of East Liberty, Orrin and Stanford, both of Springfield and Roger of Cincinnati; 36 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Charlton Wagner of Millerstown, and a sister, Mrs. Delsia Brubaker of Springfield.

His body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Kennedy, pastor of the Lawrenceville Church of God, officiating.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

He was buried in March 1969 in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Clark Co., OH, Findagrave #56875541.
