Funeral services for Michael "Mike" L. Eve, Sr., 61, of Sellersburg, will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at his residence in Sellersburg.

He was born Aug. 29, 1948, to the late Clarence W. and Mary Catherine Eve, in New Albany. He was employed with Sav-A-Step Food Mart in Sellersburg for some 17 years, and was a proud dad, papaw, husband and brother. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and customers.

Survivors include his wife, Betty M. Mahan Eve; children, Lisa Knowland and her husband, Danny, of Sellersburg, Teresa Eve of Sellersburg, Tommy Eve and his wife, Trish, of Borden, and Michael Eve Jr., of New Albany; grandchildren, Lacey, Alexis, Daniel, Kimberly, Shawn, Jessica, Lindsey, Chadeon, Kyle, Sydney, Madison and Ashley; brothers, Robert, Steven, Johnny, Joe-Ed, Ricky, and David Eve; and sisters, Barbara Kelly and Lisa Eve.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The Eve Family in care of Kraft Funeral Service.
