BUCKLEY, Eva Mae -- Born in Jefferson, IA, January 21, 1919, to Ira Dozier and Della Florence Curry, died on April 16, 2001, in San Rafael, CA, at age 82.

Eva was the eldest of six children. She was educated at Grand Junction Public School and later at Simpson College. Upon completing her education, she became a teacher in Greene County and later a social worker for a School for the Blind. She relocated to the Los Angeles area in the late 1940's and worked for Bank of America.

In 1951 she married Phillip S. Buckley and moved to San Francisco. In San Francisco she worked for the Great American Insurance Company and was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Due to ill health, Eva retired early in life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip and two brothers, Leslie and Harold Dozier. Eva is survived by two brothers and one sister, Ronald Dozier of Cedar Rapids, IA, Lloyd Dozier of Boone, IA and Thelma Peetz of Tiburon, CA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Assn. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 23, 2001, at Holy Name Church, 39th and Lawton, San Francisco, at 10:00 a.m. Private burial, Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.



She was buried in April 2001 in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma, San Mateo Co., CA, Findagrave #107702006.
