Charles H. Boyd
ONSTED, Sept. 8 -- Charles H. Boyd, 94 years old, Onsted's oldest resident, died at 5:30 a.m. today at the Parrett nursing home in Tecumseh where he had been a patient since last Wednesday. The son of James and Matilda Boyd he was born in Tecumseh township Aug. 10, 1858.
He married Miss Clara Mulliken of Adrian March 20, 1883, the couple celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary this year. They were lifelong residents of Lenawee county. After Mr. Boyd retired from farming they lived in Tecumseh and Onsted.
Mr. Boyd is survived by his widow, Clara; a daughter, ...
Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by a son, Harlow in 1928; a grandson, Ronald, who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd in 1936; a brother, Bert Boyd of Clinton and two sisters, Mrs. Freman (Augusta) Card and Miss Nettie Boyd, both of Tipton.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Dunn Funeral Home. The Rev. F.D. Hague will officiate. Burial will be in the Tipton cemetery.
