Bonnie June Brundage, 90, passed from this life on Monday, June 10, 2013, at her daughter's home in Urbandale, IA.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 14, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Bonnie was born on May 29, 1923, in Knoxville, IA to John and Alberta (Wendel) Ennis. She attended Melcher-Dallas High School and was employed with Meredith Printing/RR Donnelly, retiring after 35 years. She was a member of Bookbinder Local 77 and the Union Park Baptist Church in Des Moines, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
Bonne enjoyed watching television game shows and Atlanta Braves baseball. She traveled with her sister to Ireland, the family homeland. She liked to garden and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bonne will be missed by her daughters, Sheryl Houk and Jo Anna Houk, both of Urbandale; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Fitzgerald of Glenwood.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Brundage; parents; and brothers, Leland, Clifford, Dean, and Paul Ennis.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel. A Celebration of Mike's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Westover Chapel, with burial following at Glendale Cemetery.
Mike was born on December 2, 1950, in Des Moines, IA to Eldon and Bonnie Brundage. He graduated from East High School. Mike married Linda Lee Duff on November 16, 1974, and they made their home in Des Moines. Mike retired from Roberts Dairy after 30 years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Local 387.
He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 37 years, Linda Brundage; son, Tony (Amy Patterson) Brundage and Tony's children, Gabrielle and Austen; mother, Bonnie Brundage; sisters, Sheryl Houk and Joanna (Rex) Houk; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Brundage.
He was buried in 2012 in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, Polk Co., IA, Find A Grave Memorial# 92793310.

Carolyn Curry, 65, passed away on Sunday February 8, 2015 at Wake Medical Center. She was born in LeMars, Iowa daughter of the late Betty Beechler Chicoine and Orville Chicoine and was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Lamson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 o’clock Friday morning, February 13, 2015 at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
Mrs. Curry is survived by her husband, Thomas Curry; her children, Elissa Norris and husband James of Chesapeake, Va., Christopher Curry of Wake Forest, Diana Curry of Raleigh and Ava Curry of Wake Forest; brothers, David Chicoine of Lincoln, CA, Jerry Chicoine and Robert Chicoine both of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Ryan, Liam and Molly Norris.

OBITUARY - The Springdale News, November 5, 1909
Robertson, J. C. (from Elm Springs) J. C. Robertson died at Cave Springs Sunday evening as a result of a stroke of paralysis Wednesday and was buried at this place yesterday. He was born in East Tennessee 63 years ago and was educated for the Presbyterian ministry. He later became a baptist preacher and after coming to this section acquired more than a local reputation as a Baptist debater. He possessed a good library which was destroyed with his home in the cyclone of May 20, 1898. He lived in this township about 20 years and about four years ago moved to Cave Springs. He was an enthusiastic Odd Fellow and his burial was under direction of this order. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Shep Luper. He leaves a wife and four children.
Note: About 1872, John left Louise, married Suzine Vitzalon Tillman and moved to Arkansas. John and Suzine had three children.
