Obituary (findagrave.com):

"The News-Herald" Hillsboro, Ohio

February 11, 1892, Image 5

Sudden Death of Mrs. O. S. Price

The announcement on Tuesday morning that Mrs. Overton S. Price had died very suddenly carried with it a terrible shock into many homes, and as she had not been known to be sick the tidings fell all the heavier on her many friends.

Mrs. Price had been complaining on Monday of a severe headache, and some time during the afternoon lay down in the same room with her little daughter who has been quite sick. About five o'clock, Dr. Glenn, who has been the attendant physician during the child's

sickness, called in to see his patient and, noticing Mrs. Price, became alarmed at her symptoms, which indicated apoplexy.

Her husband was sent for, but she had already become unconscious and never rallied. She lingered in this state until half-past three when she quietly passed away.

Mrs. Price was the daughter of Charles G. and Hattie Fallis Rodgers, and was born in Hillsboro, November 15th, 1858. When she was three years old her parents removed to Covington, Kentucky where her childhood was passed, but she returned to Hillsboro to complete her education at the Highland Institute, of which Mrs. Grand-Girard was then principal.

She was married on October 10th, 1878, to Overton S. Price. One little daughter, aged ten years, survives her. The funeral services

will be held from the residence on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

She was buried in February 1892 in Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, Highland Co., OH, Find A Grave Memorial# 140558683.

A romance that began when the bride was traveling abroad ended Wednesday in the marriage of Annie Winston Price, Kentucky beauty, and Judge John Felix Kershaw, of London, Eng., and Cairo, Egypt, at Christ Church.

The bride lives in Covington and is a granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Rodgers. With her grandmother and aunt, Mrs. May Rodgers-Lovell, she was traveling in Europe when she met Judge Kershaw.

Miss Price was seated in a boat on the Thames River when Judge Kershaw first saw her. He had returned from his post in Cairo and then and there fell captive to the beautiful American girl. Judge Kershaw is a younger son of the late Sir Louis and Lady Kershaw, of London. He is an Oxford College man and one of the most prominent legal lights of England.

A large number of Judge Kershaw’s relatives attended his wedding, among them a venerable aunt, Mrs. Wm. Turner, who has passed 80, but who journeyed from London to see her nephew married.

She died on 9 October 1953 in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England.
