She was born on May 30, 1926 in Greencastle, Pa. Mary was the daughter of the late Alvey F. Morter and Ada Barr Morter.
Before moving to Whiting, Mary lived in Mt. Laurel, Moorestown and Southampton, NJ with her husband , Harold B. Fox, Sr., who predeceased her on Oct 20, 2006. She and Harold moved to Mt. Laurel, NJ in 1958 and were active members of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Moorestown. At church Mary was the first director of the youth choir and later served as the coordinator of volunteers. She was also active in the Mt. Laurel PTA. In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by her step-father, Clarence Stitt, two sisters, Ethel Neal and Dorothy Morter, three brothers, Herman, Norman, and Harold Morter, and two son in laws, Dan Boyd and Irving Segal. She is survived by her four children Harold Fox Jr. (Mary), Medford, NJ, Martha Segal (Don Buell), Lexington, Ma, Rebecca Boyd, Clemmons, NC, Marshall Fox (Sally), Williamstown, NJ, one brother, Perry Morter (Kathy), Ione, Or, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, eleven bonus grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private viewing will be held at The Lechner Funeral Home, 24 N. Main Str. Medford, N.J. 08055, followed by a public graveside service at 11 AM, July 3, 2014 at the Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting, NJ.

Pendleton - Solomon Stoner, 80, retired minister of the German Baptist Church, died at 5 a.m. today at the home of his son, Ora Stoner of near here. The body was brought to the Cornell Bright Funeral Home, where friends will be received this evening., Friday morning it will be taken to the home of Mrs. Jennie Miller, four miles west of here, where friends will be received. At 2 p.m. Saturday funeral rites will be conducted at the German Baptist Church, and burial will be in the Grove Lawn Cemetery here. The family has requested no flowers.
Surviving are eight children; David Stoner, Anderson; Ezra Stone, Valparalso; Ora Stoner at home; Mrs Jennie Miller and Mrs. Mary Hopkins, near Pendleton; Mrs. Martha Benedict, Waynesboro, Pa., and Mrs. Dora Miller, Dayton, Ohio; 44 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Disch, Bunker Hill; and four brothers; Joseph Stoner, Noah Stoner and Jesse Stoner all of Pendleton community and Amos Stoner, New Castle.
Born on Aug.7, 1873, in Preble County, Ohio. Mr. Stoner came to this community in 1919 and became pastor of the German Baptist Church, a rural church north west of Pendleton.
Note: Son of John Barley & Marillis (FLora) Stoner, married Emma Cripe on 27 Aug. 1893 in Miami Co., Indiana.

Laveen, Arizona - Former Lapel resident Joseph D. "Jody" Skiles Jr., 64, died June 26, 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was born July 3, 1930, in Madison County. He was a farmer and carpenter. In Phoenix, he was a machinist and welder at Reliance Electric for 17 years. He also operated a garden-nursery for five years.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Frances (Benedict) Skiles of Laveen, Ariz; three sons, Joseph Skiles III and Brian Skiles, both of Lapel and Mike Skiles of Bowie Ariz; four daughters, Naomi Woodfin of Richmond, VA, Rhoda Rogal, Hannah Linthicum, and Ada Rivers, all of Phoenix Ariz; a brother, Willis A Skiles of Fishers; three sisters, Dorothy Flora of Modesto, Calif, Mary Marie Ginder of Middletown, and Genevieve Lesher of Chambersburg, PA; 14 grandchildrenn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph D. Skiles, Sr. in 1983 and Elmo O. Skiles, in 1987; and a sister Mildred Filbrun.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Bright Chapel in Pendlton with Herman Shuman and Willis Benedict officiating. Burial will be at GroveLawn Cemetery.
