Dorothy E. Miller Flora, 93, of Flora, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 at 4:45am at her residence. She was born Jan. 27, 1920 in Pyrmont, IN, to the late Howard & Jenny Stoner Miller. Her marriage was to Evan L. Flora, in Pendleton, on Apr. 9, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2008.
She was a homemaker, and attended Pendleton area schools. She was a member of the Bachelor Run Old German Baptist Brethren Church of Flora. Surviving: daughter-Karen S. Mohler of Flora; sons: Kenneth & Erma Flora, & Earl & Martha Flora, both of Flora; sisters: Marie Angle of Covington, OH, Mary & Buddy Huntzinger of Pendleton. 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son David; granddaughter-Leah Wagoner, and great grandson-Harrison Wagoner, and great granddaughter-Sophia Wagoner; son in law-Eldon Mohler; brothers-Paul, Donald, Harold, & Ralph Miller.
Services: Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at Baker-Abbott Funeral Home-Flora. Funeral service Thursday 10 a.m. at the Bachelor Run Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Flora, home brethren officiating. Burial at Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Evan L. Flora, 90, of Flora, died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 4, 1917, in Flora, to Ezra and Anna Myer Flora, and was a 1936 graduate of Flora High School.
On April 9, 1939, he married Dorothy Miller at her home, and she survives.
Mr. Flora was a lifelong farmer who lived his entire life on a farm southeast of Flora, where he was born. He was a member of Flora Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Flora (wife: Erma) and Earl Flora (wife: Martha), and a daughter, Karen Mohler (husband: Eldon), all of Flora.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Flora Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Monday at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

David Long, 83, retired Clay township farmer died at the home of his son, Andrew, in Rossville Tuesday night. Mr. Long had been a resident of the Pyrmont community all his life. He had been in ill health about two months.
Seven children survive: Henry and Ira of California; Charles and Bernie of Pendleton; Mrs. Ida Disinger of Pyrmont and Mrs. Henry Reavis Rossville and Andrew.
Funeral rites will be Friday morning at 10 o’clock from the German Baptist Church in Pyrmont, with burial in the church cemetery.
