Vernon D. Franklin, 84, of Midland, died on Friday, April 13, 2012, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 16, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Porterfield, officiating.

Survivors, all of Midland, include wife, Edwana Lynette; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis L. and Carolyn S. Franklin; daughter, Ellen Diane Franklin and friend, Eloy Davis; grandson, Robert Michael Franklin.
