Jay Phillip Trusley, our beloved son and brother, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 26, 2008. Born on Jan. 14, 1984 and raised in OKC, Jay graduated from Westmoore HS in 2002. He was working as a Pharmacy Tech and attending OCCC with plans to be a Spanish teacher. The twinkle in his eyes and the laugh in his smile made us all want to join him in whatever fun he was having at that time. Jay is survived by his parents, Johnny Trusley, Jana and Max Burgess his brothers, Craig and Derek grandparents, Oliver and Gloria Trusley, Bill and Carol England numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 at Wilmont Place Baptist Church, 6440 S. Santa Fe. Jay received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at a young age he would want you to receive Him too.

Announcement was made today of the marriage of Miss Violet Wiley and Samuel Wendell which took place March 17 at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. J. W. Schillinger, pastor of Emanuel Lutheran church, on South Prospect street. They were unattended.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred George Hobbs of London, England. Mt. Wendell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Wendell of 839 Davids street. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell are at home at 371 Cherry street. The former is employed with the Pollak Steel company.

NOTE: After Samuel's death in 1948, Violet remarried to Charles Corydon Brobeck in 1949.2

A heart attack suffered early today caused the death of Samuel Ellsworth Wendell, 50, at 6 a.m. at his home at 779 Merkle avenue. He was ill an hour.

Born March 28, 1898 at Cambridge, O., he was the son of Ellis Brill Wendell, native of Barnesville and Zetta Evans Wendell whose birthplace was Kimbolton. His marriage to Violet Wiley took place March 17, 1934. She survives with two children, David and Judy, his mother, who lives at 739 Davids street, a brother, Rev. Clyde Wendell of Bellevue and three sisters, Mrs. Esther Freeman of 839 Davids street, Mrs. Wilma Clark of 809 East Center street and Mrs. Edith McElhaney of Cambridge, O.

Mr Wendell was a member of the Oakland Evangelical United Brethren church, Marion Lodge No. 889, Loyal Order of Moose, Buckeye Aerie No. 337, F. O. Eagles and United Steelworkers Local No. 2721, District No. 24, at Cambridge. He had lived in Marion for the last 30 years and was employed with the Pollak Steel Co.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Uncapher & Bastian funeral home on West Columbia street. Rev. H. V. Falor, pastor of the Oakland Evangelical United Brethren church will officiate and burial will be made in Forest Glen Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 o’clock tonight.
