Mary Jane Therese Saari of Scottsdale, Az. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister passed away on Friday February 13, 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald O'Donoghue, and Jane Kelly, and her beloved sister Kathleen Ricciardi. Mary Jane was a resident of Scottsdale for 16 years. Prior to that she had lived in El Paso, Texas for over 20 years. She was born in Montclair New Jersey on December 16, 1937 and was raised on the Jersey shore. She is survived by her husband of 22 years Marshall Saari of Scottsdale AZ. Her four children Mary Lyon Donaldson and her husband Jim Donaldson at El Paso, Texas. Charles Lyon, Kathleen Lyon Gwinn, and Michael Lyon and his wife Lisa Lyon all of Scottsdale. Her two stepdaughters Pam Saari West and her husband Dave West and Bonnie Sat Haluska and her husband Scott Haluska. She had one sister Elizabeth Billingslea of El Paso, Texas and two brothers Gerald O'Donoghue of Georgia and Kevin ODonoghue of Florida.She was dearly loved by her 12 grandchildren, Patrick Donaldson, Meg and Sarah Gwinn, Martika, Aarron, and Hunter Lyon, Brennan, Grace and Jacob West, and Brittany, Elizabeth and Natalie Haluska. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pall Bearers are Jim Hammonds, Dr. Charles Lyon, Tiger Lyon, Jim Donaldson, Anthony Ricciardi, Dr. Jack Campbell, John Saari, and Kenney Pierce. Mary Jane was a devoted Catholic and was comforted by her faith and love for the little flower, St. Therese. She was proud of her Irish heritage and a dedicated Notre Dame fan. Mary Jane's life was a celebration of her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy came from being with her family and many friends. Her warm smile and infectious laugh brought us all great joy. Her family and friends will pray the rosary on Wednesday evening at 7 pm at Hansen Mortuary 6500 E. Bell Road in Scottsdale. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm. The requiem mass will be said on Thursday February 19, 2004 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church located on 11001 N. 40th St. Memorial Donations can be made to the Little Flower Society, 1313 Frontage Rd., Darien, IL 60561.
