Starr, on 14 May 1902 in Noble Co., OH; Clovis remarried to Winnifred Roberts (1874 - 1963) on 27 JUN 1923, Franklin County, Ohio. Carrie apparently remarried to John W. Idlerton (1891 - 1984) before APR 1930, although the marriage record is not found in online public documents. She was divorced again as of the APR 1940 census, when she was living at 860 Elner Street in Columbus, apparently unemployed. No later record found. DLB 2022. Clovis Waite Johnson and Carrie A. Kackley were divorced before 27 June 1923. He died before 12 December 1963 Winnifred was a widow on the date of her death, per her newspaper obituary.

Nancy C. Secrest, daughter of Levi and Elizabeth Secrest, was born July 2, 1853 and died March 24, 1900, aged 46 years, 8 months and 24 days. She was married to Ezra Johnson, January 10, 1876, who preceded her to the better land on January 24, 1886. There were born to this union six children, five survive her, one having died in infancy. They are Other, of Sherrardsville; Waite, lives with his grandfather Secrest, near Mt. Zion. Walter, Norris and Gruber lived with mother at home in Byesville. She also leaves her aged father, two brothers and one sister to mourn her loss. J.C. Secrest, of Sherrardsville, J.S. Secrest, of Sarahsville, Lusina Stranathan, wife of Jordan Stranathan, near Chaseville. She peacefully passed away on Saturday morning, March 24, 1900, at the Mt. Carmel Hospital, at Columbus. In early life she gave her heart to God and united with the Lutheran church at Mt. Zion, remaining a consistent member of the same until God called her up higher. She was a loving, affectionate mother and a devoted Christian woman. Her Christian character was especially manifested in her home life, as she always showed an intense interest in the welfare of her children, commending them to the word of God and his grace. The Savior who sustained her amid life's conflicts and bereavements was with her as she passed triumphantly through the valley and shadow of death. She is not dead, but sleepeth, in sure and certain hope of a resurrection from the dead. She was a good and kind neighbor and was beloved by all her friends in Byesville and Mt. Zion. The funeral on Monday was conducted by Rev. Bush, of Newcomerstown, in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends, interment being made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.



She was buried in March 1900 in Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Mt. Zion, Noble Co., OH, Findagrave #186769594.

Dorothy Jean Hall, 79, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Holzer Medical Center.

She was born on November 24, 1937 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late Vincent Joseph and Rachel Ovellow Wall Persinger. She was married to Junior Ray Hall and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1999.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Lynn (Lester) Cardwell of Crown City, Gerald Ray Hall of Pt. Pleasant, Matthew Wayne (Loris) Hall of Albany, Georgia, Anita Sue (David) Beaver of Gallipolis, and Rhonda Jean (Tom) Fife of Vinton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren survive.

Graveside service will be 1 pm Monday, July 24, 2017 at Ridgelawn Cemetery with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
