Gospel preacher listed in Preachers of Today, Vol. 1, 1952, 284. He was baptized by Orlin Makeymyer after renouncing digression Feb. 1946. He began preaching in Erwin, TN in 1948. Served three years in Pacific during World War II. He was left fatherless when two years and eight months old. He married: (1) Ann Marshall Johnson; (2) Ouidia Cargile of Ripley, MS.

World War II, Army drill instructor and went to Japan as part of the cleanup crew after the bombing on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Graduated from Lipscomb University, Nashville, Tennessee, Class of 1953.

He was buried in October 2002 in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Troy, Obion Co., TN, Findagrave #53448104.
