Nafziger, Daniel B., son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Greiser) Nafziger, was born at Hopedale, Ill., Mar. 1, 1889; died at Hopedale Medical Complex on June 8, 1975; aged 86 y.

On June 6, 1915, he was married to Eva M. Sutter, who survives.

Also surviving are 4 sons (Herbert, Donald, James, and Delmar), 5 daughters (Vietta Heffner, Fannie Urish, Mary Livesay, Mrs. Irene Frakes, and Ruth Mason), 26 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers (William and Chris), 3 half brothers (John, Menno, and Albert Birky), one stepbrother (Simon), and one sister (Mrs. Bertha Kipfer).

Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Hopedale Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on June 11, in charge of J. W. Davis and Elmo Springer; interment in Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery.

On June 6, 1915, she was married to Daniel B. Nafziger, who died on June 8, 1975.

Surviving are 4 sons (Delmar, Herbert, Donald and James), 5 daughters (Vietta Heffner, Fannie Urish, Mary Livesay, Irene Frakes, and Ruth Mason), 26 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Sally Lou Looney lived in 1988 in Clovis, Curry Co., NM. Cause of death: Charles was critically injured on the job. He was knocked off the back of a lumber truck while at work, causing him to fall and injure the back of his head. Charles was critically wounded in a one-in-a-million freak accident. Charles remained in a coma for almost six-months before suffering a heart attack and dying. He never regained consciousness after his tragic accident.
