George L. Nelson Died In Baltimore After Long Illness
After a lingering illness of many months, George L. Nelson died at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Tuesday of this week, at the age of 63.
For the past 25 years Mr. Nelson had made his home in Baltimore at 2405 Edmondson Ave., and up to the time of his illness had been engaged in the restaurant business.
His body was brought to Crisfield by the Lawson & Hubbard ambulance on Tuesday, and services will be held in the Lawson & Hubbard Funeral Home on Main street this morning, Friday, at 11:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J.T. Rowlenson, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church.
Members of the Men's Bible Class of the church will act as pall bearers, and interment will be in the family plot in Asbury cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Hoffman Nelson, and three children, Margaret Rutledge and Lionel H. Nelson, of Baltimore, and James R. Nelson, now in the U.S. Army, stationed at Nashville, Tenn.
One sister, Mrs. Emma Hoffman, of Painter, Va., and three brothers, Wm. R. Nelson, of Baltimore, and Arthur Nelson, of Crisfield, also survive.
