Kurt was a successful business owner for 30 years. He had a great love of music and was always quick with a smile.

Vera Catherine Wiland, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Frostburg Village Nursing and Care Center.
Born February 11, 1933, in Fairview, she was the daughter to the late Walter and Sarah (Wilt) Broadwater. Preceding her in death are her brothers; Irvin Broadwater, Lonnie Broadwater, Melvin Broadwater and sister Violet Rounds.
Vera was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church and Woman of the Moose Lodge 348.
She loved to garden African Violets, make ceramics, and loved painting. Vera was an AWESOME Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma to all of her family.
Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Paul Edward Wiland; children, Dean Wiland of Wilmington NC, Juanita Bender and husband Bill, Debbie Gaumer and husband Don, Helen Drees and husband Ronnie, Dave Wiland and wife Cinda and Rickey Wiland and wife Betty all of Finzel; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren with one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Russell Broadwater.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 29 Pocahontas Road, Frostburg, on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11AM with Pastor Daniel Agnew officiating.
Interment will be at Emmanuel United Methodist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve McKenzie Jr., Eric McKenzie, Brian Gaumer, Ty Wiland, Nick Wiland and Ray Wiland.

Virginia Mae McKenzie passed on to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home at age 84. Virginia was born on April 20, 1932, to Albert and Gertrude Broadwater. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leonard F. McKenzie, in 2008; and a granddaughter, Heather Haslacker, in 2010. Virginia was also preceded in death by a sister, Alma Bowman; and a brother, Bill Broadwater. Virginia is survived by a son, Steve McKenzie, Frostburg; daughters, Cecelia McQuire, Frostburg, and Lynette Bittinger, Frostburg, and Brenda Westfall, Martinsburg, W.Va.; a brother, Raymond Broadwater, Mount Savage; and sisters, Shirley Hacker, Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Marie Fairgrieve, Barton. Virginia is also survived by a special grandson, Justin Baer, and girlfriend, Bonita, Lonaconing; and 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Virginia was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Avilton. Funeral services will be conducted at the Sowers Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at 2 p.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating. Robert Blaine Gaumer, 93, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 4, 2015.
Born May 7, 1921, in Sand Patch, PA, to the late John C. and Lottie (Baer) Gaumer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Alma V. “Granny” Gaumer; two brothers, Clarence L. Gaumer and John Gaumer; sister, Mary Ellen Gaumer. Robert was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Gaumer was member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Salisbury, PA, and a retired electrician from Chessie Railroad.
He was U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a lifetime member of Eastern Garrett Vol. Fire & Resuce Dept., as well as the Salisbury V.F.W. Post 8826.
Surviving are his children, Phyllis Swick and husband Bob, Ron Gaumer and wife Sharon, Don Gaumer and wife Debbie, Anita McCartney and husband Michael, Bea Gaumer; Grandchildren, Lisa Jones and husband Dale, Jason Gaumer and wife Lisa, Brian Gaumer and wife Sarah, Amanda Simpson and husband Kraig, Jeff Gaumer and wife Talesa, Eric Smith and wife Misty; Great Grandchildren, Kayden, Gracie, Charlotte, Dallas, Blaine and Ethan; Great step Grandchildren, Daniel, Josh, Amber, and Karaline; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 2 to 9 p.m. Eastern Garrett Volunteer Fire Department will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ingrid Chenoweth officiating, assisted by Pastor Richard Schoenly.
Interment will be in Greenville Lutheran Cemetery.
