Dorothy Fern Rose, 1911 William boulevard SW, an employe of Collins Radio Co. for 23 years and a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday following a brief illness. She was born June 16, 1919, in Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are a sister, Betty Louise Kennell, and her grandmother, Mrs. Phil Wagner, of Cedar Rapids. Her father, George Wagner, died May 3, 1964.
Mrs. Rose was a member of the Methodist church and was a Gray Lady at St. Luke's hospital. She attended Coe college and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. She also attended the University of Iowa and was a graduate of Mt. Mercy college. She was a former member of the Cedar Rapids Symphony and the SUI Symphony.
Memorial services: Turner chapel at 10:30 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Donald Caspers of the Lovely Lane Methodist church. Burial: Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
She was buried in July 1964 in Cedar Memorial Park, Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA, Findagrave #135389352.
