Waltons Missed

We wish to recognize, with appreciation, the late Dwight and Nina Walton, who were both very active and dedicated supportive workers in the Stockholm Historical Organization since its formation in 1979.

Dwight did carpenter work for the history center, located in the Winthrop municipal building, from its beginning, and also repaired furniture for us.

Nina spent hours upon hours doing census of the town’s cemeteries, making scrapbooks, making materials available to the public of the Town of Stockholm and doing genealogies on her own time at her home. She also assisted with our programs and refreshments for our spring and fall exhibits. For several years, she was chairperson of the membership committee.

They both had designated items and written materials for us, upon their deaths, which we have received and for which we are very grateful.

Both Dwight and Nina Walton will be greatly missed, but their memory and dedication will live in our memories for many years to come.
