Services for Mrs. Henry T. Dillon, 66, who died Monday morning at the National Jewish Hospital in Denver, will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Martin’s Chapel. The Rev. Leonard Van Dam will officiate. Burial will be in the Municipal Cemetery on Orchard Mesa.

Mrs. Dillon was born Elsie Galloway on July 2, 1900, at Slater, Colo. She was married in 1924 to Henry T. Dillon who died Nov. 12, 1950, at Rifle. A daughter, Mrs. Francis Gallamore, died earlier.

Survivors include three sons, Robert T. of Grand Junction, Morris of the Navy, now in Hawaii, and Stewart at Western State College at Gunnison; a daughter, Mrs. Dave Merrill of Littleton; a sister, Mrs. James Cutler of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, James Galloway of Savery, Wyo.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin chapel for Henry Thomas Dillen, former resident of Grand Junction, who died Sunday at Rulison, 11 1/2 miles southwest of Rifle. The Rev. A. P. Gaines will officiate, and burial will be in Municipal cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hailey Heibert, Gordon Boethe, Jack Stone, Ira Berry, Orville Gray and Fred Wiley.

Mr. Dillen was born May 3, 1902, at Mars Hill, Me., and he spent his childhood in Maine and at Golden. He married Elsie Galloway in 1925 at Rawlins, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. Dillen resided at Steamboat Springs and Grand Junction before removing to Rulison five years ago. A carpenter, Mr. Dillen was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Gallamore, Concord, Calif, and Sharon at home; three sons, Robert, Rulfson, and Morris and Stewart, at home; one sister, Mrs. Vera Pierce (Pearce) Maine; three brothers, William E., Maine, Noel, Goodmore, Iowa, and Robert, Grand Junction; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Dale Broome and Mrs. Neal Lord; and two grandchildren. Sayre mortuary, Rifle, and Martin's mortuary of this city cooperated on making arrangements.

Mrs. Dillon is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Davidson of New Castle formerly of Grand Valley. She graduated with the class of 1957.

Dillon is the oldest son of Mrs. Elsie Dillon and is now employed with the Western Electric at Durango.

Out-of-town relatives were Mr. and Mrs. Andy Davidson and son Bob, of New Castle; James Clarke, Grand Junction, grandfather of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Neal Lord, Grand Junction, aunt and uncle of the groom; Mrs. Dale Broom and daughter, Deanna, Grand Junction, aunt and cousin of the groom; Joe Waddell, Patsy and Jeanne Crawford of Grand Valley.

The young couple will live in an apartment at the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. Elsie Dillon, for the present.

Robert Thomas Dillon

Robert Thomas Dillon of Tucson, Arizona, died Wednesday, July 3, 1997. He was 64.

He was born March 4, 1933, in Rawlins, Wyoming, the son of Henry T. and Elsie M. Galloway Dillon. He spent his childhood in western Colorado and joined the United States Navy in 1951. He served for three years including service onboard the USS Pittsburgh. He returned to Grand Valley, Colorado and received his high school diploma in 1955.

Robert worked for AT&T until retirement. He moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1988, where he spent his time enjoying his son, grandchildren, and all the hunting and fishing he could make time for.

Survivors include daughter, Jennifer, and her husband, Jon Foreman, of Petaluma, California; son, Joe Dillon, and his wife, Debra, and two grandchildren, Jesse and Stevie Dillon, all of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Sharon Merrill of Missouri; brothers, Morris (Nancy) Dillon of Colorado, and Stewart (Patsy) Dillon of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19th, 11 a.m., at 300 Zuni Drive in Grand Junction, Colorado, the home of our dear friends, Joe and Louise Waddell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.

Nick was born in Martinez, CA, and was a graduate of Alhambra High School Class of 1963. He served in the National Guard and then went on to work for the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department for 26 years, retiring as a detective. He had a fun-loving sense of humor. He enjoyed watching sports, playing bocce ball, fishing, relaxing at his cabin, cooking for friends and family, and laughing with his granddaughters. He was a devoted son, brother, step-dad, granddad, cousin, and friend. He was loved by many.

He is survived by his step-daughter Andra (Michael) Harris; grandchildren Maddy and Sarah Harris; first cousins Cindye Maderas, Sharon Gallamore, Joel Gallamore, and Bill Gallamore; second cousins Dalene Swedberg, Charlene Goyak, and Marlene Hilt.

A private memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date.

We will treasure our memories with him forever.

Vicki Gallamore passed away last Wednesday in her home in Antioch.

Vicki was born in Martinez, California, and graduated from Alhambra High School. She briefly worked for Pacbell. She was known for her gentle, quiet spirit. She enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects,and baking.

She is survived by her brother, Nick Gallamore, and her cousins Cindye Maderas, Bill Gallamore, Sharon Gallamore, and Joel Gallamore. She will be deeply missed.
