He married Betty Jean Clayton on 26 March 1954 in St. James, Phelps Co., MO; this marriage was very brief -- according to the Social Security Applications and Claims Index, she was remarried to a Grinfield by January 1956. (Ancestry.com). I found no online evidence of another marriage for Walter. DLB 2025. He died on 29 August 1997.

He was buried in 1997 in Broadway Baptist Cemetery, Broadway, Maries Co., MO, Findagrave #40221682.

Connie Lee (Taylor) Sade 83, Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 after a long illness. She was born in Rolla, MO. on July 3, 1940, to Mary Opal Southard and John Edgar Taylor. She attended elementary school in her earlier years, at Arlington, MO, and Newburg, MO. During this time, they lived in Arlington, MO. The rest of her life she lived in Springfield, MO, graduating from Central Senior High School, in 1958.

Connie's working career led her to work at Heer's Department Store, as a salesperson, she also worked at Three Sister's Dress Shop, Springfield Tablet Company, and Glendale High School. Connie came to know the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age, through Bible School and Summer Missionary in Arlington, MO, and through a christian Grandmother and Mother. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 11 at Benton Avenue Methodist Church, and she was later baptized into the fellowship of Springfield Second Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edgar and Mary Opal (Southard) Taylor

On March 28, 1959, she was married to Boyd R. Sade. Boyd survives her after 64 years of marriage, to this union a daughter Becky Bright (Roy); and son, Steven Sade (Heather) were born. Connie also leaves behind four grandchildren: Brandon Baum, Ashley Baum, Tanner (Holly) Sade and Taylor (Patricia) Sade; and two great-grandchildren: Merrick and Maia Sade.

Graveside services Monday, July 17, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. No visitation or viewing were planned.

Rebecca Anne Bright, 63, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 5:45 pm August 31st, 2023 at Cox Hospital after a hard fight against breast cancer. She went in peace and was reunited with her mother, Connie Sade, in heaven who passed earlier this summer.

She was born in Springfield, Missouri to Boyd and Connie Sade on July 7, 1960. She attended school in Springfield and graduated from Glendale High in 1978. She was a proud member of the Glendale "Scotties" during her time there. She went on to attend Missouri State University and graduated in 1982 with a BS in Office Administration.

"Becky" worked at Forvis (formerly BKD) for 41 years and it is a legacy she leaves behind. Working gave her joy even in her last days.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and supporter. She welcomed everyone around her with open arms and made sure they felt at home and taken care of in her presence. She was a giver.

On March 3, 2006 Becky married Roy L. Bright and celebrated 17 beautiful and loving years of marriage....

A celebration of life will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 5:30pm on Friday, September 8, 2023. Funeral services to follow for the family.
