Linda F. Groshart Newman
Linda Fay Groshart Newman died at her home in Renton, Washington following a long illness. She was 42.
She was born on July 24, 1947, the daughter of Allen J. and Jessie Groshart. She was raised in Sinclair and graduated from Rawlins High School in 1965. She subsequently moved to Renton, Washington where she worked as a beautician until the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Newman, and her children, Troy and Trina Stangland, of Renton, Washington; her parents, Allen and Jessie Groshart, of Encampment; her twin brother, Lee Groshart, of Sinclair; her sister, Janel Myrick, of Lyman, Wyo.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and good friends.
The remains were cremated and memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Presbyterian Church in Encampment. Rev. Pat Jeffrey will officiate.
A memorial fund has been set up for her children at Westland Federal Savings and Loan in Rawlins.

Miss J. Fannie Maher was married to Mr. Ernest J. Cox, Saturday, August 13 at the First Baptist Church of Sedalia, Mo. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Inlow at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
The bride was married in her traveling suit. The witnesses were her school mates and chums from the College at Warrensburg, Mo. They were as follows: Miss Ruth M. Godfrey of Fayette, Mo., Miss Lily L. Kelly of Kansas City, Kas., and Ethel R. Crabtue of Holden, Mo. The entire party was at Sedalia attending the State Fair.
The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Maher of Rolla, Mo. She has had some three years of teaching experience and was a student of the 60 hour class of the Teachers College of Warrensburg. She is an accomplished and talented Musician.
The groom is a young and prosperous business man from Portland, Oregon. He was formerly from Rolla, Mo. The happy young couple left immediately for St. Louis and various points in Illinois. Their many friends extend hearty congratulations.
After the divorce, Frances remarried to Albert August Brooks.

SHERIDAN -- Interment for James M. Cox Sr., 76, will be held on Friday at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
Funeral services were held in Long Beach, Calif.
He died June 22, 2000, in Long Beach.
He was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Sheridan, the son of Ernest J. Cox and Frances M. Brooks.
He was a graduate of Sheridan High School and the University of Wyoming Law School.
Survivors include sons, James M. Cox Jr., of Long Beach, Calif., and Kevin D. Cox of Brea, Calif., a daughter, Linda Harvill of Denver, and a sister, Geraldine Lokanc of Orland Park, IL.
