Death of Mrs. James Anderson
EXETER , October 25. - Mrs. Laura Anderson passed from this life Saturday at 6 o'clock p.m.
Death is a sad thing under any circumstances, but especially so in this case, considering the deceased was a woman whose amiable qualities had won to her a large circle of friends and no enemies, and that she was a general favorite with her father, mother, sisters and brothers.
The departed was 27 years of age, a native of Missouri, but moved with her parents to this county when quite a small girl. She was married five years ago to James Anderson. They had but one child -- a girl now three years of age. She had been confined to her bed for about six weeks with lung trouble, always expressing the hope of recovery until a few hours before her death, when she called her relatives and friends to her bedside, bade them goodbye and told them to prepare to meet her in heaven, "For," said she, "I am not afraid to die. I trust myself with God."
After all such a death is but the beginning of a bright eternity.
The interment takes place at the Deep Creek cemetery on Monday at 11 o'clock.
She was buried in October 1896 in Exeter District Cemetery, Exeter, Tulare Co., CA, Findagrave #102251286.
