Jane H. Nelson
April 24, 1924 - August 1, 2019
Surrounded by those she loves and those that loved her, momma decided it was time to go home. She changed her address to HEAVEN on August 1, 2019. Almost seven years to the day that her husband Henry, the love of her life, went home. Their reunion must have been a beautiful thing!
She was born April 24, 1924 in Sioux City, Iowa and moved to the Exeter/Visalia area with her parents Eva and James Anderson when she was a baby. She resided most of her life in Visalia raising three children. She married the love of her life, Henry Nelson, in 1964 and moved to Fowler where they built their first home and lived for nine years. In 1975, Henry built their home in Santa Maria where they lived for twenty eight years. They call Santa Maria "God's Country". In 2003 they moved back to Visalia to be closer to family. She and Henry (Papa) spent forty-eight years together, traveling and enjoying life. She loved the Lord with all her heart and set a beautiful example of how to live and love for all of us. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is truly home now. God is Good!
She leaves five children, Bob Wihlidal (Mimi), Nancy Noel, Eva Riddle (Bill), Pam Eickmeyer (Fred) and Paul Nelson (Margaret); fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. We have all been blessed to have her in our lives, won't be the same without our "grammy".
A "Celebration of Life" will be held in her honor. Condolences can be made to www.salseranddillard.com.

Obituary – (unknown newspaper, via Findagrave.com):
Bonnie Lois Stokes
Bonnie Lois Stokes passed away suddenly but peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 26, 2009, with her loving husband and family at her bedside. She was born in Exeter on January 20, 1926 to James and Eva Anderson. Bonnie was raised in the Exeter-Visalia area and graduated from Visalia Union High School where she met the love of her life, Daryl Stokes. They were married in May of 1943 before Daryl reported for active duty in the U.S. Army. Out of their blessed marriage and life together, six children were born.
Bonnie had a strong faith that always saw her through and she was very active in the Presbyterian Church both in Three Rivers and Visalia. She loved gardening, collecting baskets and making handmade quilts for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband and family at the many family get togethers. She also loved deep sea fishing and most times out fished the men. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Bonnie is survived by a large and loving family, her devoted husband Daryl of 66 years, a sister Jane Nelson and husband Henry, her six children – Judy Correia, Peggy Tristao, Joyce Allen, Alice Payne and husband Sam, Mike Stokes and Tom Stokes and wife Sherrie. Bonnie also has 14 grandchildren – Shelly Bressoud, Renee Muniz-Irving, Robert Bullock, Brett Bullock, Donna Stevens, Rich Castleman, Beverly Davis, Steve Allen, David Payne, Sallie Macedo, Darren Payne, Derek Stokes, Brian Stokes and Kayla Kroon. She also has 33 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bonnie’s name to the Presbyterian Church Deacons Fund, P.O. Box 685, Three Rivers, CA 93271.
