Obituary – (Findagrave.com):
David L. (Uncle Dave) Shotwell, Sr. – Beloved husband of Deborah Shotwell (nee Gross) for 40 years. Devoted father of Deena (Marcus) Lofties, Cecily Pond, Dawn Roberts and David (Sarah) Shotwell. Cherished grandfather of Derrick, Alexis, Keyaira, Noah, Danielle, Abigail, Allie, Betsy and Charlie. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. David passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the age of 63. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20th from 5-8 pm at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, Ohio 45231. Interment will be held on Thursday at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
NOTE: Regarding Cecily Shotwell/Pond -- no Ohio birth record found, no marriage of a Shotwell to a Pond found. Cannot ascertain who this person is or why she was listed as a daughter in David Lee Shotwell's obituary.
Charles William "Chuck" and Margaret (Roward) Pond were married in Cincinnati on 16 MAY 1970 and lived in Cincinnati for some years thereafter, before relocating to Los Angeles and later to Indian Rocks Beach, Florida in 1998. They had a daughter, Cecily Ann Pond, born 18 MAY 1976 in Ohio, probably in Cincinnati, per the Ohio Birth Index, 1908-2003 (Ancestry.com). She had a son, Noah A. Logan, and later married a Culbreth and lived at Largo, Florida. No known reason why she would have been listed in David Shotwell's obituary. DLB 2025.
