Clarence W. Seidel, age 78, of Cambridge, died Sunday, October 6, 2002, at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 15, 1924 to the late Arno Seidel and Freda Rocklage Seidel.

Mr. Seidel was a Mechanical Engineer, Tool designer, Machinist, and Owner - Operator of Seidel Machine, inc., of Cambridge. He was in the Army during W.W.II, where he received 2 Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Cambridge. He also was a member of the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International.

Clarence's wife, Frieda R. Paugstat Seidel, lives in Cambridge, they were married on June 12, 1959.

Surviving are: 4 daughters; Frances L. Seidel Dale Moore of Sterling, CO., Arnelle Kathleen Seidel Michael Craft of Las Vegas, NV., Amy Ruth Seidel Hany Malak of Monrova, CA., Teresa Kay Seidel Scott Johnson of Cripple Creek, CO., 3 sons; Clarence ''Bud'' Herbert Cruz -ann Seidel of Palmdale, CA., James Walter Seidel of Cambridge, OH., Ronald Roy Linda Seidel of Chillicothe, OH., 2 sisters Freida Arthur Maggert of Atlanta, MI., Delores Bill Follis of Mt. Pulaski, ILL., 2 brothers; Arno Estelle Seidel of Dayton, OH., Ralph Roketa Seidel of Brookville, OH., 10 grandchildren; Carrie, Alliston, Andrew, Nathan, Joshua, Brian, Peter, Isabella, Sophia, Makayla, 3 great grandaughters; Taylor, Sabrina and Paige. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Proceeding him in death is a daughter Paula Seidel and a son John Carl Seidel.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The service will be on Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 11:00am with Rev. Ken Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow on the family farm, where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Mary E. Young, age 95 of Fairborn, OH, Medway, OH and Nokomis, FL, passed away Thursday February 2, 2023 at Danbury Senior Living in Grove City, OH. She was born June 9, 1927 in Osborn, OH, the daughter of the late Wayne and Mary (Stormont) Kneisly.

Mary was a 1945 graduate of the Bath Exempted Village School and she was a charter member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Fairborn. She enjoyed telling the story of her wedding being the first ceremony held in the church on the Saturday before the first church service on Sunday. During her later years in Fairborn, Mary was a member of the Fairborn Senior Center where among other activities, she took great pride in editing and publishing the monthly newsletter. Mary loved to travel, she and her husband, Harold joined the other Seniors on numerous trips. Mary was also fortunate to travel with her friend Carl for several years of RV travels. Eventually Mary visited all 50 states.

Mary was active in many crafting and art forms including knitting, crocheting, cake decorating, counted cross stitch and Swedish weaving. She was an accomplished seamstress who seemed to always be making clothing for her family.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and by an infant brother.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice and Martin Bear of Indian Trail NC, Elaine and Howard Sothard of Lake Placid, FL; two sons, Dale and Brenda Young of Galloway, OH, David and Anne Heath of Shoreview, MN; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; longtime companion Carl Moyer of Venice, FL and his family; as well as many extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday February 16, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Gene Cline officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital City Hospice The Hope Foundation (https://capitalcityhospice.com/donate/) and the Fairborn Senior Citizens Center (937-878-4141).

YOUNG, Harold E.

age 86 of Medway, passed away Tuesday May 11, 2004 in the Hospitality Home West, Xenia.

Harold was born September 11, 1917 in Eldorado, Illinois, the son of the late Claude and Marie (Elkins) Young. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II; retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic after 39 years; was an active member of the 419th Night Fighters, as well as the Fairborn Senior Citizens.

Preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Survivors include his wife of 6=54 years, Mary E. Young; 2 daughters, Janice Bear, and husband Martin of North Carolina, Elaine Sothard, and husband Howard of Tremont City, Ohio; a son, Dale E. Young, and wife Brenda of Galloway, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; a great-grandson; 2 brothers, Charles Young, and wife Delores of Colorado; a sister, Barbara Chamberlain of Illinois; as well as numerous friends and other family members.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday May 16, 2004 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. in the BELTON FUNERAL HOME, Fairborn, where services will be conducted Monday May 17, 2004 at 10:30 A.M., Ken Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery, Fairborn. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Harold’s memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
