Mary Gilmore entered the Society of the Sacred Heart in St Louis, MO. In 1929, Mother Gilmore became the superior of the new foundation of Villa Duchesne in Frontenac. She also was superior and taught at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, known as the "City House", 314 North Taylor, St Louis, MO. Mother Gilmore died at the age of 75 on 23 MAY 1958.
