JACOB YOUTSLER

Jacob Youtsler wsa born in Effingham county, Ill., August 4, 1844, died at the home of his son, Bismark at Letha, Idaho, Sunday morning, January 26, 1930. At the time of his death he was 85 years, 5 months and 20 days old. Death was due to complications incidental to his advanced years.

He was united in marriage to Mary Virginia Woosley in Sangamon county, Ill., in 1865. To this union seven children were born, six of whom are living, John C. and Henry of Boise, Mrs. Bessie windle of French, Idaho, Samuel T. of Milbrea, Calif and Mrs. Myrtle Cosman of Salem, Ore., nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and one niece Miss Ida Woosley of Nampa, Idaho. His wife and one daughter having preceded him in death.

The Youtsler family crossed the plains in 1880, moving from Missouri and settled in the Payette valley on part of what is now known as the Pence ranch where the family resided for a year, later taking up a homestead about three miles northeast of New Plymouth, what is now called the Webb ranch.

Jacob Youtsler joined the Seventh Day Adventist church about 15 years ago, where he remained a faithful member until the time of his death.

Funeral services were held from the C. D. Bucknum Funeral Parlors at Emmett, Idaho, Tuesday, January 29, 1930. Services were conducted by A. Belding, pastor of Caldwell. Interment was at Riverside cemetery, Emmett.

MARY VIRGINIA YOUTSLER

Mary Virginia Woosley wsa born in Christian county, Ky., on March 22, 1848 and died Nov. 3, 1918 at the home of J. B. Cosman, after an illness of six months, with diabetes, having been confined to her bed for three months.

She was married in April 1866 to Jacob Youtsler who with six children survive her. John C. and Samuel T. of Boise, Bismark of Letha, Henry of Sweet, Mrs. Tom Windle and Mrs. J. B. Cosman of Payette. One daughter, Arpie May Hornaman, having passed away Nov. 5, 1895.

Grandma Youtsler was an early pioneer of this section having immigrated by team with her husband and seven small children from the middle west in 1880 and had many of the early pioneers of the Payette Valley among her friends.

She lived and died with great faith in God, as she knew him, having been a member of the Baptist church since her girlhood days, and never doubting her relation to him. Her last conscious moments were for the welfare and comfort of those near her.

Besides her husband and children, 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and a niece, Ida Woosley, who assisted in the care of her through her last illness, she leaves to mourn her loss a host of loving and thoughtful friends.

Funeral services were held from Lauer’s Undertaking Parlor, conducted by Rev. W. H. Swartz, pastor of the Baptist Church. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery.

Annette O. Ferreby passed away on June 25, 2020. She was 86 years old.

Annette was born in Westfield, NJ, to parents Herbert and Grace Osterman. She moved to Far Hills, NJ, in 1962 and lived there until her move to Basking Ridge in 2010. She was an active parishioner of the Pottersville Reform Church.

Annette worked as a Realtor for Turpin Real Estate in Far Hills, where she earned her place in the Million Dollar Sale Club on numerous occasions. She enjoyed going to car shows with her husband, Richard, as well as knitting, sewing and cooking. Every meal she prepared was delicious, she perfected every dish she made.

Annette is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Richard Ferreby, and is survived by sons Marty Ferreby of North Carolina and Tom (Brenda) Ferreby of Pennsylvania, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Annette will be laid to rest with her husband at Pottersville Reformed Church Cemetery at 12 noon on Sunday, June 28, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annette’s memory may be made to the Pottersville Reformed Church, 2090 Black River Rd, Pottersville, NJ 07979.
